I will let them tell you more about it in the video below. The Kickstarter is currently fully backed but still has 18 days to go, so you have some time to get in on this before it is done.

If you aren't familiar with Thomarillion and you build fantasy or historical terrain for wargaming or tabletop RPGs then you should check them out! They have a plethora of detail bits that make your terrain more immersive...today however I am going to be focusing on some of their latest releases. Starting things off we have the Gateguard (2 pieces) priced at 3.99 € ($4.41 USD). This is a high-quality ceramic casting that comes unpainted. The Charburner Cottage is priced at 19.99 € ($22.10 USD), using hard foam and is produced by Ziterdes. The hard foam is lightweight and with a bit of care will last years. This foam is harder than Dow Blue Board or Pink Board insulation foam that many of you may be familiar with in the U.S.. The Ship Steering Wheel is another example of just how diverse their range is. Priced at 1.99 € ($2.20 USD) cast from metal (I am assuming lead free pewter given that is now the norm) it is the sort of piece that can save you a great deal of time when scratch building. Looking for something a bit different? Perhaps something mechanical? The Machines Set (9 items) is priced at 34.99 € ($38.68 USD) cast from resin and come unpainted. Having done business with Thomarillion over the years, I highly recommend them for the quality of their products and their great service!
Full disclosure, I have now backed this Kickstarter project. With just 3 days remaining this is turning out to be one of the biggest 3D printer terrain Kickstarters yet! More than 1,100 backers and pledges exceeding $135,700 the stretch goals are now at the Upper Floor Building Bridge. Fulfillment of the various Kickstarter goals is going to be spread out over a period of time though. The Village Furnishings looks to be the first with an estimated delivery of November 2016. The farthest one appears to be the Village Walls and Gates set for May 2017 (again...estimated). If you are looking for plethora of 3D terrain this is certainly the Kickstarter for you with lots of add-on sets! Let me know what you think!
GameCraft Miniatures has released a 28mm laser cut building...Los Pollos Hermanos...which some of you may remember from the tv series Breaking Bad. This bad boy has a 11.15" x 11.97" footprint, is 3.64" tall, made from 1/8" laser cut hardboard and is priced at $39.50. The dumpster and pallet of 55 gallon drums I don't believe are included, they were added by the builder.
I think it is a great looking building, for your modern game table needs! Ever felt like your game table was missing something? Priced at 27.78€ ($31.08 USD), well that may seem a bit pricey but really how many are you really going to need for your game table?
Let me know what you think! A while back I did an article on Tabletop World's...exceedingly impressive, Town Walls. Well it turns out that they have this new bit to add into your Town Walls...the Fortified Tower. Weighing in at 585g (1.3 lbs) and standing a foreboding 225mm (8.7 inches) it is sure to add that big accent you are looking for! Of course, it comes at a price 62 Euros ($69.49 USD)...however compared to GW pricing it seems positively reasonable.
What do you think? If you enjoy building terrain, I certainly do, then it is interesting to get a peak at how others approach the process. Mike, has given us a rare look behind the curtain in this short video. The array of clamps he uses is evidence of what my shop teacher told me, you can never have too many clamps! Thomarillion has just released the Dwarven Gate, cast in resin, 82 mm (3.23 inches) wide and 83 mm (3.27 inches) tall, priced at 4.50 € ($5.07 US). Those are the specifics, now let your imagination go to work. I have done a lot of business with Thomarillion and they have always shipped quickly and provided product that met expectations. If you are planning some Dwarven terrain, this would be a great addition.
I am feeling better, at least for the time being, so I hope to be doing more on here and on my YouTube channel. Warlord Games is giving us more of a sneak peak of the upcoming release of Bolt Action 2nd Edition (shipping now), available for pre-order now. Alessio Cavatore gives us a look at the Armed Transports and what has changed for them with the latest incarnation of the game. Is it a huge change, not really...and yet I would say it is a significant change dependent on what armed transport we are talking about. Instead of me muddying the waters I will let you go to the article and read for yourself the new tweak...however don't hesitate to let me know what you think though!
In a single day, this new Kickstarter by Fat Dragon Games, has more than 400 backers and pledges exceeding $39,000! This level of funding has effectively blown through all of the original stretch goals with two additional ones being added around midnight (best guess on my part) on the very first day. This is but a taste of what is available with this Kickstarter and I for one am very impressed with the wide array of options we are going to be getting!
