When I speak about visual impact there are three elements that I am focusing on. Height/depth being one of those components and, without a doubt, one that is going to grab a viewers attention first and foremost. The next most important component, for me, is detailing on the scenery. Seeing a building with a gas main, electric meter, mold/moss at the base, asphalt with repaired cracks, a flatten aluminum can, grass between the cracks of sidewalk, etc., etc., all are the sort of detailing that makes a game table come to life. Finally, you have color and this is one of the toughest aspects of wargaming scenery construction to get right. I have seen plenty of scenery that looks as if it was just painted with vibrant colors, without any fading or dust. Take a stroll or drive and see how many buildings look as if they were just put up. At the same point in time color is a terrific way to grab the attention of a viewer.
So what does that have to do with Multiverse Gaming and their line of Grafitti Decals? These decals hit two out of the three components of visual impact...detail and color. Painting on grafitti can be hugely time consuming and technically very challenging even to an experienced painter. These decals offer up plenty of color to make your buildings standout. After they have been applied and allowed to dry you may want tone down and tie them into the building by spraying an extremely thinned glaze of white with an airbrush. Think of it as applying a filter in Photoshop to make elements appear to be part of the same photo.

I personally like the fact that their decals are vibrant, as I find it is easier to tone down than to increase said vibrancy. They do offer one set of black and white decals which are going to work for those times you want greater contrast.
If you have modern or near future wargaming scenery that needs a bit of punch when it comes to visual impact, Multiverse Gaming has you covered!
