The T-70 is going to be available this next week from Warlord Games. This resin tank sports a 45mm L/46 gun Model 38 (with 45 rounds) and a coaxial 7.62mm DT machine gun. The Russians used the T-70M to replace the T-60 scout tank and the T-50 light infantry tank, filling both roles. In service from 1942 - 1948, some 8,000+ were produced.
This tank did suffered from a critical design flaw though, a two man crew, the tank commander had to load and fire the main gun and machine gun. Coordinating a tank platoon was made that much more difficult as the tank commander had more than enough to do as it was.
In spite of the woefully under gunned 45mm gun there are at least 2 accounts of a T-70 knocking out a Panther at close range...under 200 meters.
