Over at Hirst Arts, Bruce has been very busy working on a new series of molds...the Half Timber Houses. The three molds pictured below include the stucco (#251), wood (#224), and rubble (#258) along with the timber mold (not shown). Conceptually, you have the 1/8 inch thick tiles that you glue down to a backing material (cardstock or plastic card). Paint the tiles and the timbers...once those are dry you glue the timbers over the seam lines of the tiles.

What this does is speed up the painting process immensely as you are painting the timbers separate from the tiles so you don't have to worry about mistakes.

Well, the wait is almost over...the second half of Season 6 of The Walking Dead picks up this Sunday 9/8c (on AMC). Warlord Games has posted up an article (Head to Head) comparing the Hetzer vs. Hellcat, two tank destroyers.

My take goes like this, the Hellcat is a speed demon a trait that is not exploitable in Bolt Action. While some will argue this is made up by the point cost for the Hellcat, IMHO it is not equivalent. Armed with the respectable but not astonishing 76mm main gun, open topped with a Browning M2HB HMG it is a decent vehicle to add to your American force.

The Hetzer has a very low profile, is not open topped, armed with the 7.5cm Pak 39, this deadly gun could and did destroy the vast majority of Allied tanks it encountered out to 1000 meters. The addition of a remotely fired MG34 with 360 degree traverse...well it would seem that this competition would go to the Hetzer hands down. Two main points historically, the Pak 39 had to be mounted on its side to fit in the small chassis...which made loading awkward. Secondly and far more important it didn't have a turret which ultimately put it at a disadvantage against the tanks it was hunting. In terms of Bolt Action the Hetzer with a Regular crew is attractively priced at 210 points.

In a matter of mere minutes John Wick saw his 7th Sea Kickstarter funded. Having read through his spiel I have watched the pledges go up nearly $15,000...and I am not a slow reader. The Pirate Nations has just been unlocked as I was writing this.

Well, Fantasy Flight Games certainly hopes so because they have released this 96 page career supplement. It comes with three new Command specializations, species, gear and vehicles!

This supplement doesn't simply throw you into the deep end of the pool, be you player or GM. There are rules and helpful hints on how to handle Mass Combat in various phases of the unfolding battle. This may sound simple enough, however as any seasoned GM knows, few adventures survive contact with the players intact.
